About

Bridges and dentures are used to replaced badly broken, worn, extracted or missing teeth, usually from gum disease or decay. When one of more teeth are missing, chewing and speaking can become difficult. If the tooth is not replaced, other complications can occur such as changes in the shape and structure of your face, reduced aesthetic appearance of your smile, shifting of teeth and poor bite.

Bridges

~ Bridges – A bridge is a fixed restoration device that can replace one or more missing teeth. It works by bridging the gap between teeth and uses the teeth either side of the gap as support to anchor to. This is only possible if the supporting teeth are strong enough to do so. The teeth either side of the gap are prepared, crowns are placed over the prepared teeth and these are attached to the artificial tooth called a pontic. The advantage of bridges are they are a natural looking and affordable way to restore function.
